Joel 1
Joel warns of a devastating invasion by a powerful nation that has left the land barren and desolate. The crops have withered, the livestock is suffering, and the people are mourning. Joel calls for a solemn assembly to fast and cry out to God as the day of the Lord draws near.
Joel 2
Joel prophesies a catastrophic day when God's army will descend upon Israel, bringing destruction and darkness. However, he also calls for repentance and promises restoration if the people turn to God. The chapter concludes with a promise of spiritual renewal and wonders in the heavens and earth.
Joel 3
God gathers all nations to the valley of Jehoshaphat to plead with them for Israel, whom they have scattered and oppressed. He threatens judgment on those who have taken Israel's silver, gold, and children as slaves. The chapter concludes with a description of God's judgment on the wicked and His salvation of Israel.
