Zephaniah 1
The Lord speaks through Zephaniah, warning of an impending judgment on Judah and Jerusalem. He condemns those who worship false gods, swear by idols, and have turned away from Him. The chapter describes a day of wrath, destruction, and darkness.
Zephaniah 2
The Lord warns the nations of Judah's enemies, including Gaza, Ashkelon, and Philistia, of impending destruction. He promises to destroy Moab and Ammon for their mocking of God's people. The chapter concludes with a description of Assyria's downfall and Nineveh's desolation.
Zephaniah 3
God condemns Jerusalem's corruption and violence, but promises to restore her in the future. He will gather the nations for judgment, then turn to the people a pure language so they can call upon His name. The chapter concludes with God's promise to save and rejoice over Zion, gathering those who have been afflicted and giving them praise and fame.
