Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Parish is located on the Central Coast of New South Wales in Terrigal. The parish is part of the Diocese of Broken Bay, which recognizes Mary Star of the Sea as its patroness. This ancient title, derived from the Latin Stella Maris, refers to the Mother of Jesus Christ. Mary Star of the Sea received official recognition as the diocesan patroness through a decree from the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments in May 2008.
