The Anglican Diocese of the Northern Territory is a diocesan organization covering approximately 1,346,200 square kilometres across the Northern Territory with a population of around 220,000. It operates from fifteen parish and ministry unit locations, serving both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal communities in remote, rural and urban areas. The diocese provides community service and educational ministries alongside parish work. The current Bishop is The Right Reverend Dr. Greg Anderson, who was elected in June 2014. The diocese remains part of the Province of Queensland and reports that 13% of the population signified Anglican attachment in the last published census. Local Anglican churches provide weekly worship services.
