Santa Clara Catholic Church is located in the Bentley suburb of Perth, Western Australia, and is part of the Catholic Archdiocese of Perth. The parish began in the late 1940s when Catholic migrants settled in the Bentley area and initially attended churches in Queen's Park and East Victoria Park. The first church was a tent erected behind Warwick Street with capacity for around 60 people and a simple white painted wooden altar. In 1952, an acre of land was purchased on Palmerston Street for a school and church complex. The first official Parish Priest was appointed in November 1954. The dedicated church building was officially blessed and opened on 30th May 1963. The parish underwent major renovations that were completed in time for its 50th year celebrations in 2013. The church is dedicated to Saint Clare of Assisi as its patron saint.
