Saint Brigid Catholic Church is a parish in Toronto, Ontario that has served the Catholic community for over 100 years. Established in 1920 with a small wooden temporary church built in a field, the present building was completed in 1927 and blessed by Archbishop Neil McNeil. The first Mass was celebrated on Christmas Day, December 25, 1920, with Reverend James Hayes as the first pastor. From its inception, the parish has hosted a diverse community including English, Irish, Scottish, Dutch, Italian, and French Canadian members. Today, the parish continues to reflect the multicultural diversity of Toronto. The parish offers daily masses, eucharistic adoration, sacramental programs, and various ministries including the Out of the Cold Program and volunteer opportunities.
