Biserica Ortodoxă Română Înălțarea Domnului si Sf. Cuvioasa Parascheva

Biserica Ortodoxa Romana Inaltarea Domnului si Sf. Cuvioasa Parascheva is a Romanian Orthodox church located in Montreal, Quebec. The church was established on December 12, 2004, when approximately 160 Romanian Orthodox believers submitted a request to the Romanian Orthodox Diocese of America and Canada to approve the formation of a new Orthodox Mission in Montreal. The church received official blessing on January 21, 2005, from Archbishop Nathaniel, and the first Divine Liturgy was celebrated on January 23, 2005. The church is led by a parish priest and maintains activities including Sunday school, community meals, cultural events, and publications. The church has two feast days: the Ascension of the Lord as the primary patronal feast and Saint Paraskevi as the secondary liturgical feast day.
