Parish Church of the Holy Cross, Wooding Dean

The Parish Church of the Holy Cross in Woodingdean, Brighton is a Church of England parish church situated in the South Downs National Park. Built in 1968 and designed by architect J Wells-Thorpe, it features a light, open-plan design with sliding partition doors connecting to the Parish Room, which is available for hire and includes kitchen facilities. The church is open daily from 9am to 6pm for private prayer and quiet reflection. It offers full accessibility with disabled and wheelchair access throughout, as well as an induction loop system for those hard of hearing. Reverend Helen Rose has served as vicar since 2018. The congregation describes itself as friendly and welcoming, functioning as a community hub hosting various groups and organisations. Services cater to all ages, with a family-focused service held on the fourth Sunday of each month.
