Pear Tree Road Baptist Church

The church is notable as the only Black Majority Baptist Church in Derbyshire, with a congregation primarily rooted in Jamaican heritage alongside multiple other ethnic groups. Established in 1903, the church building includes a large sanctuary, lounge, upstairs hall, and modern kitchen and dining area. The church is dedicated to spreading love, hope, and the teachings of Jesus Christ through worship, community service, and spiritual growth. Led by Reverend Ruth Tiso, the church offers various ministries including Junior Church, discipleship courses, hospitality events, and community support.
