Manchester Universities' Catholic Chaplaincy

Manchester Universities' Catholic Chaplaincy (MUCC) and the Church of the Holy Name serve Catholics and University members in Manchester, England. The church welcomes all University members exploring their faith in Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church, led by Pope Leo XIV. The Holy Name features exceptional acoustics for choral singing and a fine organ by William Hill. The Ignatius Singers choir, with Sir Stephen Hough CBE as patron, performs at Sunday morning Mass and is committed to preserving European Catholic traditions including Gregorian chant and Renaissance polyphony. The Holy Name Music Collective offers musical performances at 7:00 PM Sunday Mass, welcoming singers and musicians of all experience levels. Baptisms, marriages, and funerals are celebrated only for current Catholic University members. The chaplaincy is open Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM during term time.
