All Saints Church Paston

Peterborough, England

All Saints Church Paston is a Church of England establishment serving the Paston, Gunthorpe, and Walton parish. The church has stood on its current site for over 800 years, possibly on the location of an ancient heathen temple. Originally surrounded by agricultural land and known as the Church in the Fields, the present building is primarily of Gothic structure featuring Early English design elements in the chancel and lower tower, with Decorated Gothic styling in the nave from the 14th century. The church contains medieval features including a stone font with lead lining, a 500-year-old rood screen, and three bells in the belfry dating from 1601 and 1607. The congregation emphasizes values of inclusivity, community engagement, and acceptance. Led by Rector Revd Capt. Paul Whiteley and Assistant Curate Revd Gill Thompson, the church welcomes all seeking spiritual connection.
