Edinburgh New Town Church
Edinburgh, Scotland
Edinburgh New Town Church is located at 13 George Street in Edinburgh's New Town and has been present since 1784. It is Scotland's only elliptical shaped church, built around people and continues to serve the life of the city. The church functions as a place of worship, welcome and community, open to everyone regardless of faith. It offers weekly services, hosts events and concerts, and operates The Undercroft Café run by volunteers, known for its famous scones and homemade soups. The church is open Monday to Friday from 10:30 AM to 2 PM for visiting. Music is central to the church's life, with historic bells first hung in 1788, a dedicated choir, organ, and regular recitals. The church is easily accessible, located minutes from Waverley Station with buses stopping at the door and tram links nearby.
