St Barnabas' Church
Swansea, Wales
St Barnabas' Church is located in Waunarlwydd, Swansea, Wales. Built in 1888 in the Early English architectural style at a cost of 1,000 pounds, the church is constructed from coursed random rubble Carboniferous sandstone with Bathstone dressings and Spanish slate roof. The structure comprises a nave and chancel with a timber altar and ornately carved pine reredos. A church hall was added in the 1920s. Both the church and hall underwent significant restoration around 2010. St Barnabas' is part of a joint ministry with St John's Church in nearby Gowerton, serving the communities of Waunarlwydd and Gowerton. The churches offer Holy Eucharist services and are served by a team of clergy including Reverend Ben Jones.
