The Maelor Mission Area is a rural mission area within the Church in Wales, comprising seven active churches located in Bangor-on-Dee, Bronington, Erbistock, Hanmer, Marchwiel, Overton and Penley on the Wrexham and Shropshire border. The mission area serves as a connecting bridge in rural communities, fostering unity and support. The churches are fine historic Grade 1 and Grade 2 listed buildings featuring interesting design elements and beautiful stained glass windows. Services are described as holy, sacred, welcoming and steeped in the Anglo-Catholic tradition. The mission area is committed to safeguarding as an integral part of its life, mission and ministry.
