St. Stephen's Orthodox Church

St. Stephen's Orthodox Church is located in Dilshad Garden, Delhi and is part of the Malankara Orthodox Church. The church was established following a memorandum filed in 1994 by members of St. John's Prayer Group. It was officially registered as St. Stephen's Orthodox Church Society in 1994 and declared a parish on 21 July 1996, making it the first and only parish in Delhi Diocese at that time dedicated to St. Stephen, the Chief of Deacons and First Martyr in Christianity. The church building was constructed on a DDA-allotted plot at PSP Area, Dilshad Garden, with foundation stone laid in 2001 and consecration completed in 2006. The parish operates a pre-school established in 2008.
