Saint George's Orthodox Church is a Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church located in Indiranagar II Stage, Bangalore. The congregation was first established in 1947 with liturgical services conducted at Holy Trinity Church. In 2002, the parish acquired land to construct its own church building. The church complex was completed in 2005 and includes the main church on the second floor, a parsonage, a hall with modern facilities, lift access, and basement parking. In 2010, the parish was elevated as a Georgian Pilgrim Centre. The church follows West Syrian liturgy and is part of the larger Malankara Orthodox Church, which traces its origins to Saint Thomas, one of the twelve apostles of Jesus Christ, who came to India in 52 AD. The church is in communion with Oriental Orthodox Churches and maintains ecumenical relationships with Eastern Orthodox, Roman Catholic, and Protestant churches.
