Mizoram Upc General Headquarters Office

The Mizoram UPC General Headquarters Office represents the United Pentecostal Church in Aizawl, Mizoram, India. The UPC emerged as an offshoot of a spiritual revival in the 1930s, originating from Mizo believers who sought a more flexible church system and were dissatisfied with the strictly Welsh-influenced denominational approach. Led by Zakamlova, a separate congregation was organized in Aizawl. After initial lack of denominational support, the group established an Apostolic Church in 1948 with moral support from the Apostolic Church of Pentecost in the United States. The church maintains a general headquarters office in Zonuam, Aizawl, and conducts various programs and assemblies throughout the year.
