Risen Christ Church

Risen Christ Church is a Roman Catholic parish located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, established on June 6, 1976 with Mgr Lazar SDB as the first parish priest. The parish developed under Rev Fr N A Joseph SDB and operates Don Bosco Matriculation Higher Secondary School. It has three substations including Our Lady of Good Health at Lakshmipuram, Sacred Heart Church at Srinivasa Nagar, and Christ the King Church at GKM Colony. Since 1990, the parish has been under the Archdiocese of Madras Mylapore. Currently led by Parish Priest Fr. M. Arul Raj with Archbishop Most. Rev. Dr. George Antonysamy overseeing the archdiocese, the church offers multiple Mass times with choirs and maintains active parish organizations including Legion of Mary, Society of St. Vincent de Paul, youth groups, and catechism programs.
