Salesian Missionaries of Mary Immaculate

The Institute of Salesian Missionaries of Mary Immaculate (SMMI) is the missionary branch of the Daughters of St. Francis De Sales. The society was founded in Paris on October 15, 1872, by Fr. Henri Chaumont and Madam Carre De Malberg with the purpose of living and spreading evangelical charity throughout the world. From its inception, the founders instilled a deep missionary enthusiasm among members, which manifested as a guild dedicated to fervent prayer on behalf of non-Christian women.
