St. John the Baptist Romanian Orthodox Church

St. John the Baptist Romanian Orthodox Church is located in Glendale, Arizona, serving the Romanian-American Orthodox community in the Phoenix metropolitan area. The church was consecrated on August 26, 2001, by Archbishop Nathaniel in the presence of 10 priests and approximately 500 people. The parish evolved from a mission established in 1982 based on a list of 58 Romanian Orthodox families in the Phoenix area. It became an official parish on March 6, 1983, under the Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of America. The church is led by Father Adrian Grigoras, appointed as Parish Priest in May 2017. The congregation worships according to Romanian Orthodox tradition and offers Sunday school programs. The church relies on community donations for daily support and accepts contributions via mail or online.
