In November 1995, the Holy Synod formed the Western Archdiocese to exclusively serve the 17 states of the western half of the United States. The archdiocese is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, tax-exempt organization comprised of 18 churches and parishes in 17 western states. The church offers worship services, religious education through Sunday School, and youth programs including Scouts.
