About First Baptist Church

Located in Lake Forest, California, this Baptist congregation is part of a Protestant denomination with roots tracing back to the 17th century. Baptist churches emphasize individual faith, believer's baptism, and congregational governance. Visitors to a Baptist church typically experience a service centered on biblical preaching, congregational singing, and prayer. The tradition values personal interpretation of scripture and the separation of church and state. Baptist communities generally focus on missionary work, community service, and discipleship programs. Services usually include a sermon, hymns or contemporary music, and opportunities for prayer and reflection. The congregation welcomes those seeking to explore Christian faith in an environment that encourages questions and personal spiritual growth. As with most Baptist churches, First Baptist operates with democratic decision-making practices and maintains ties to broader Baptist associations while maintaining local autonomy.
