Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church

Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church is a Roman Catholic parish in Rancho Cucamonga, California, founded in 1905 by the Claretian Missionary Fathers as Our Lady of Guadalupe. Originally a mission of San Gabriel, it was renamed in 1921. The first church structure was built in 1915 through a donation from Dr. Daisy and Leon Lucas, and currently serves as a parish hall. The current church building was erected in 1950. The parish has been served by 25 priests throughout its history, with Fr. Alfonso Cerezo serving the longest as pastor with 25 years of experience. Currently led by Rev. Sagayaraj Emmanuel, M.S.C., the church celebrated its 50th anniversary in September 2000 with Bishop Gerald Barnes. The church has served its community for over 115 years and offers weekday and weekend Masses in English and Spanish, along with various church events and ministries.
