St. Abanoub & St.Anthony Coptic Orthodox Church

Saint Abanoub and Saint Antony Coptic Orthodox Church is located in Corona, California. The church was founded in 1989 as Coptic families relocated eastward from the Los Angeles area. Initially, services were held in rented spaces and private residences under the leadership of Father Gawargious Kolta and Father Augustinos Hanna. In 1991, Father Samuel Samaan was ordained as the church's priest. The congregation experienced significant growth, expanding from 15 families to over 200 families by early 2007. With the support of Bishop Serapion and the dedication of Father Samuel and parishioners, the church relocated to a complex in Norco and acquired over 13 acres of surrounding land. His Holiness Pope Shenouda consecrated the church in 1994. In 2004, the congregation constructed additional Sunday School rooms adjacent to the church building.
