Christ the Redeemer Missionary Baptist Church is located at 785 Boston Avenue in Bridgeport, Connecticut. The church was founded to minister to all people of Bridgeport, serving the community at large as well as those in prisons, hospitals, the sick at home, the poor, and those in homeless shelters. The church purchased its present location in April 1989 after needing a larger facility due to increased membership and space constraints at its previous East Main Street location. In that same month, church members marched from the old location to the new edifice.
