St Mary Church

St. Mary Parish is a Catholic church located in Bethel, Connecticut, serving the surrounding communities of Danbury, Brookfield, Newtown and Redding. The parish was established in 1882 and has grown from its original location in a living room parlor on Grassy Plain Street to the current church building on Dodgingtown Road. St. Mary Parish Center features a church with seating for 850 worshippers, a parish hall, a school, and a rectory. The parish is the only Catholic church in the town of Bethel. The church offers religious education classes, youth choir programs, a book club, and various ministries including men's ministry and Bible study. Confession is available on Saturday afternoons, and adoration is offered during the same time.
