St. John of Shanghai and San Francisco Orthodox Church is a Russian Orthodox parish located in Jacksonville, Florida. Founded in 2010 by a group of Orthodox Christians from the former Soviet Union, the mission was established and named in honor of St. John Maximovich, a spiritual leader of the Orthodox diaspora in the twentieth century. The church is part of the Eastern American Diocese of the Greek Orthodox Church under the leadership of His Eminence Elpidophoros, Archbishop. The parish is led by Protopresbyter John Voloshchuk. The church follows the Julian calendar and conducts weekly services on Saturdays and Sundays, as well as on Orthodox feast days throughout the year. The congregation offers a full liturgical schedule including vigils, liturgies, and special services during significant Orthodox observances.
