Our Lady Queen of Martyrs

Our Lady Queen of Martyrs is a Catholic church located in Hollywood, Florida, canonically established on September 29, 1956 by Archbishop Joseph P. Hurley. The church building was designed by architects Watson and Deutschmann of Miami, featuring pink brick exterior with amber cathedral glass and a blue-accented interior with terrazzo floors. Initially under the Diocese of Saint Augustine, the parish transferred to the Archdiocese of Miami in 1959. The parish began with 1,100 families that grew to 3,000. In 1958, a cafeteria and eight-classroom school were completed. A convent for Saint Adrian Dominican Sisters was blessed in November 1959. The church offers daily mass, confession, and various parish ministries including youth associations, scout groups, and the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul.
