St Peter & Paul Orthodox Church

Miami, Florida

Saints Peter and Paul Russian Orthodox Greek Catholic Church is one of Miami's oldest Eastern Orthodox parishes, established in 1951. Located in the historic Shenandoah neighborhood, also known as Little Havana, the church building was originally the mansion of Miami's first elected mayor, built in 1927. After extensive renovations, this elegant home was transformed into a house of worship while retaining residence quarters on the second floor. The parish paid off its mortgage in 1960, demonstrating strong community commitment. Over its more than 70-year history, the church has been served by devoted senior priests and deacons serving a multi-ethnic community. Beyond worship services, Saints Peter and Paul provides refugee assistance, poverty relief efforts, addiction recovery support, and community outreach ministries.
