About St. Paisius Orthodox Church

St. Paisius Orthodox Church is a mission of the Romanian Orthodox Metropolia of the Americas under Metropolitan Nicolae, established in December 2023 to serve the Orthodox community in the Orlando metropolitan area of central Florida. The church is named after Saint Paisius of Neamtz, commemorated on November 15th, whose spiritual influence extended to America through Saint Herman of Alaska. The mission welcomes all people seeking the saving grace of Jesus Christ and aims to proclaim the Orthodox Christian faith. It is a bilingual community using both Romanian and English, with English as the primary language of worship to ensure full participation of all members. The church centers its life on the Holy Eucharist and offers various sacraments and special services including blessings for individuals, events, and objects. The mission emphasizes that all aspects of life are important and can be directed toward God, reflecting the Orthodox understanding that nothing exists outside of God's love and concern.
