St. Stephen Roman Catholic Church

Pensacola, Florida

St. Stephen Roman Catholic Church is a parish in Pensacola, Florida, founded in 1922 with an attached school established in 1933 that closed in 1973. The parish is the only one in the Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee offering the Traditional Latin Mass, also known as the Tridentine or Gregorian Rite. Since September 2008, following Pope Benedict XVI's Motu Proprio Summorum Pontificum, the High sung Latin Mass is celebrated every Sunday at 10:30 a.m. in addition to other traditional liturgies throughout the week. The church serves those seeking traditional Catholic faith, liturgy, and teaching. The parish emphasizes proper decorum, requiring modest attire and a spirit of silence and prayer within the church. Confessions are available after Saturday Vigil Mass, morning Masses, and by appointment. Spiritual direction is available through Canon Perez.
