St Gregorios Malankara Orthodox Church

St Gregorios Malankara Orthodox Church is a congregation of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church located in Tampa, Florida. The church was established on November 4th, 1989 by a group of believers and named after St. Gregorios of Parumala. Under the leadership of Rev. Fr. Samuel K Mathew, the congregation began holding services at the parish hall of Holy Redeemer Lutheran Church in Temple Terrace. Rev. Fr. George Paulose was appointed as Vicar in November 1990. As the congregation grew, two acres of land with a building were purchased in May 1994. A small church was subsequently built on this property and consecrated on August 16th, 1997 by H.G. Mathews Mar Barnabas and H.G. Dr. Thomas Mar Makarios.
