St. Philip the Apostle Orthodox Church is a parish of the Orthodox Church in America located in Tampa, Florida. Founded by Fr. Joseph and five others, the parish celebrated its first Divine Liturgy on November 6, 2005. The congregation consists of both cradle Orthodox and converts of various ages and backgrounds, including members from Russia, Moldova, Romania, Greece, Lebanon, and the West Indies. All liturgies and services are conducted in English. The parish welcomes visitors, inquirers, and curious individuals. Beyond local ministry, St. Philip operates as a missionary parish with outreach activities including year-round food collection for the poor and support for international missions in Africa, Guatemala, Alaska, and Mexico. The parish's major project is a medical clinic in northern Uganda that opened in January 2014, with a maternity ward annex added in August 2016.
