The church was founded in 1966 by four families who relocated from Miami, Florida and organized as a chapel in 1967 under the oversight of a sister OPC church in Harriman, Tennessee. The congregation built their own building beginning in 1972 and moved into it in fall 1973. The church believes the Bible to be the true and inerrant word of God and prioritizes corporate worship according to scriptural principles. Services are held Sunday mornings and evenings, with Wednesday evening activities including fellowship meals and prayer meetings.
