First Christian Church of Augusta

First Christian Church of Augusta is a Disciples of Christ congregation located in downtown Augusta, Georgia. The church building was constructed in 1875 at the corner of Seventh and Greene streets. It features a mixture of Romanesque revival and Gothic revival architectural styles and includes a distinctive 168-foot-tall steeple. The building was funded by local philanthropist and benefactor Emily Tubman. The congregation has been faithfully serving the Augusta community since its formation in 1835, making it a historic fixture in the region for nearly two centuries.
