Greater Zion Hill Baptist Church is located at 2656 Napier Avenue in Macon, Georgia. The church was born in July 1929 with 29 members and has undergone several relocations due to urban renewal. In 1966, it merged with St. James Baptist Church in East Macon and took its current name. The church moved to its current location on May 26, 2002. Under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Walter L. Glover, Jr., who was called to pastor in August 1975, the church established numerous ministries including the Tithing System, Sunday School Teachers Ministry, Crisis Support Ministry, and Community Outreach Ministry. The church campus includes four buildings: Sanctuary, Administration, Glover-Lockett Fellowship Hall, and Education Building. The church motto is "The Church Where Everybody is Somebody and Christ is All."
