Second Saint John Missionary Baptist Church is located in Savannah, Georgia and serves the community with emphasis on family and creating an atmosphere of love for worship. The church was organized on April 15, 1917 by Reverend J.J. Johnson with six members in Collat Quarters and relocated to its current location on January 22, 1961. Under the leadership of Pastor Marques C. Johnson, Sr., the church offers multiple ministries including a youth program called G.A.N.G. (God's Anointed New Generation) that emphasizes nonverbal communication outreach. The church maintains a Library and Resource Center named after Mother Ernestine Manigault on the second floor of the Educational Building.
