Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish - St Mary Magdalene Catholic Church

Chicago, Illinois

Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish is a Catholic community of faith in the Diocese of Joliet, Illinois, established in March 2025 through the consolidation of St. Mary Magdalene, St. Bernard, and St. Anthony Parishes. The parish is named after a miraculous Byzantine icon of the Madonna and Child brought from Crete to Rome in 1495. The church building itself is dedicated to St. Mary Magdalene, a significant figure in the New Testament mentioned in all four Gospels. The parish focuses on worship, building community, evangelization, sensitivity to those in need, and financial stewardship. St. Mary Magdalene Church is fully ADA accessible and serves the Joliet community with regular Mass schedules and sacramental services.
