Saint George Belarusian Orthodox Church is located in Chicago, Illinois and has served the Christian Orthodox community in Chicago and surrounding suburbs since 1958. The church is part of the American Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Diocese of the USA under the rule of His Eminence Metropolitan Gregory. Divine Liturgy is celebrated every Sunday at 10 AM in the Slavonic language. The church was established by Belarusian immigrants who settled in Chicago after World War II, seeking job opportunities in the local industry. Founded with assistance from various Orthodox clergy members, the church initially joined the Ecumenical Patriarchate before becoming part of its current jurisdiction.
