Mary, Mother of God Parish is a united Roman Catholic parish in Peoria, Illinois, serving the faithful communities of St. Patrick Church, St. Monica Church, and St. Patrick School. The parish is rooted in faith and strengthened by tradition, welcoming all to encounter Christ through the sacraments, service, and community life. St. Patrick Church, located in Washington, Illinois, traces its origins to the mid-1800s when Catholic families gathered for Mass wherever possible. St. Monica Church was founded in 1898 in East Peoria after local Catholic families petitioned for a parish of their own. Both churches offer liturgy, sacraments, faith formation for youth and adults, and various ministries including liturgical service and outreach. The parish provides faith-centered education through St. Patrick School for PreK through 8th grade.
