Saint Patrick Saint Hedwig Parish is a Roman Catholic parish in South Bend, Indiana, comprising two historic churches in the West Washington National Historic District. St. Patrick Church, founded in 1858 by Irish and German immigrants, served as the original parish. St. Hedwig Church, established in 1877 by Polish immigrants, became the mother parish of the Polish community. The two parishes officially combined into one parish with two churches on August 22, 2024. A ministry of the Dominican Province of St. Albert the Great, the parish seeks to unite the Irish, German, and Polish traditions while proclaiming the Gospel and celebrating the Eucharist. The community welcomes families, couples, singles, and those seeking spiritual growth and renewal.
