Assumption Greek Orthodox Church is located in Louisville, Kentucky and serves as a Greek Orthodox parish. The church was founded in 1925 by a group of immigrants and is named in reverence to the Virgin Mary. The original church was housed in shotgun buildings on Fifth Street in Old Louisville. In 1967, parishioners completed construction of an Orthodox Church at the same location to replace the original structure.
