The Monastery of Mary, Mother of Grace is a Discalced Carmelite Community located in Lafayette, Louisiana, in the heart of Acadiana in Southwest Louisiana. The community is dedicated to a vocation of prayer and contemplation, with a mission to be love and prayer in the heart of the Church. The nuns live a contemplative life focused on interceding for God's people. The contemplative tradition of Carmel has existed in the Church since the 12th Century, originating in the Holy Land. The monastery operates within the Diocese of Lafayette.
