Friends Meeting at Cambridge

About Friends Meeting at Cambridge

We are located in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and represent the Religious Society of Friends tradition, which emphasizes direct spiritual experience and communal worship. Quaker meetings, like ours, are known for their contemplative approach, typically featuring periods of silent worship where we listen for inner divine guidance. Visitors to our meeting will experience a worship style that values simplicity, integrity, and social responsibility. The Quaker denomination has historically championed peace, equality, and social justice causes. We welcome people of all backgrounds and faith perspectives. During our gatherings, individuals may speak if moved by the Spirit, though many of our meetings consist entirely of silence. Our community often engages in service activities and discussions reflecting our Quaker values. Our meeting provides a space for spiritual reflection within the broader Quaker fellowship that spans North America and beyond.
