Mary Immaculate of Lourdes

Mary Immaculate of Lourdes is Newton and Needham Massachusetts' oldest Roman Catholic Parish, founded as Saint Mary Parish in 1870. The current church was dedicated on Thanksgiving Day, 1910 and was consecrated by William Henry Cardinal O'Connell. It is a two-form Roman Catholic parish of the Archdiocese of Boston offering both the ordinary form of the Roman Rite (1970 Missal) and the extraordinary form (1962 Missal). Since 2007, the parish serves as a Mission Parish with a special apostolate for the Traditional Latin Mass. The parish is canonically open and welcomes both parishioners and Sunday visitors to its historic church.
