It serves as the parish church of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish, a faith-filled community celebrating Catholic tradition and Polish heritage. The parish represents over 125 years of Catholic tradition in Bay City's South End. The church features engaging liturgical celebrations, including monthly Mass in Polish, a vibrant music ministry, youth programs, and various community outreach initiatives. The historic church building was erected during Fr. Marian Matkowski's pastorate at a cost of over $60,000, with the cornerstone blessed on June 24, 1890, and dedication on July 17, 1892. It is registered as a Michigan Historic Site.
