The congregation was originally founded in 1963 as West Side Baptist Church, meeting initially in a storefront. The church purchased property on Lewis Avenue in 1964 and constructed a building dedicated in 1971. The current facilities were built beginning in 1977 and completed in 1979. Pastor Bob Marlow has served as Senior Pastor since 2021, continuing a legacy of pastoral leadership including Pastor Lynn Howe's 42-year tenure. The church offers Sunday worship services at 9:30 AM, Sunday School from September through May, Wednesday women's Bible study, and Wednesday prayer meetings. The congregation actively engages in volunteer service and local outreach initiatives.
