The Saint Jude Center

Buffalo, New York

The Saint Jude Center is the Official Diocesan Shrine of Saint Jude, established in Spring 1969 by Msgr. Edward J. Ulaszeski through the Buffalo Diocese. Founded to provide pastoral care for vulnerable people facing illness, suffering, and pain, the center occupies a renovated 150-year-old Victorian house and carriage house in the heart of the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus. Located at the apex of a triangle formed with Buffalo General Medical Center and Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, the center serves the growing pastoral needs of the hospital community including patients, relatives, and hospital staff. The renovated carriage house features an aesthetic chapel. The center was designated as the Official Diocesan Shrine of Saint Jude on February 1, 2016.
