St. Nicholas Albanian Orthodox Church is an Orthodox Christian community located in Jamaica Estates, New York. Founded around 1941 by Albanian immigrant families, the church held its first Divine Liturgy in April 1942 at the Diplomat Hotel with Fan Noli presiding. The parish moved to its own building on 48th Street shortly thereafter. The current community represents a diverse mix of ethnicities, traditions, and languages, including both Albanian and non-Albanian members of varying ages. The church traces its Orthodox faith to Christ and his disciples, emphasizing the preservation of the joyful gospel message through Orthodox Christian practice and worship.
