St. Charles of Borromeo Church is part of St. Charles & St. Ann's Parish in Syracuse, New York. The parish operates two church locations: St. Charles and St. Patrick's/St. Brigid. St. Charles Parish was established in 1929 by Bishop Daniel Curley when the population shifted west of Syracuse. The original wooden church was built at the corner of Orchard and Fay Roads. A new church was dedicated on May 28, 1961, designed to honor the Blessed Trinity. The parish has grown significantly since its founding with 70 original families. St. Charles School was constructed in 1952 to serve the expanding parish community. The church underwent renovations completed in 1986 to reflect Vatican II reforms. St. Charles celebrated its Diamond Jubilee in 2004 with Bishop James Moynihan.
